Putch Here.

Apple (app Store), Google (Play Store) and GoDaddy (servers) are all in the process of banning apps that do not censor content from their platforms. Wimkin, Parler, MeWe – all are feeling the heat. ALL of these platforms ban content that promotes violence, illegal acts, and pornography. So what’s the problem? They do NOT ban Conservative ideological content. Apparently, expressing your opinion is ONLY okay when you conform to the ideology favored by Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google and Apple.

Here’s where this gets scary, folks.

I don’t care WHAT you believe in politically. I don’t care which side of the divide you’re on, or if you don’t care to pick sides. That’s YOUR choice, and your business. What I DO care about is censorship. Unless you post, forward, or comment on something that promotes breaking the law – violence, sedition, pornography, arson, rape…that sort of thing, you should be allowed to voice your opinion. THIS RIGHT IS PROTECTED BY THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE US CONSTITUTION. Companies that are banning or censoring Conservative thought are violating the US Constitution. It’s that simple. Now you may have heard that there is a provision in Federal law that protects these companies from lawsuits for doing this. That’s true – for now. But let’s move past that for a second, and talk about the chilling effects of censorship.

As of this writing, Apple and Google are about ban Parler – a censorship-free alternative to Twitter – from their online stores. That means that they will be unable to grow their user base. They are demanding that Parler institute “fact checkers” and filters that will block messages THEY deem to be ‘dangerous.’ Of course, the devil’s in the details. Nobody (Parler included) wants to be promoting violence. And on a big social media platform, it’s easy to allow something to slip through. But platforms like FB have long argued they bear no responsibility for allowing groups like ISIS, Antifa, BLM, and Hamas to post messages like “Death to Israel” and “Kill the Great Satan America” or suggesting violence against police. Funny how it is only CONSERVATIVE messages that condone violence get singled out. And it’s funny that many of these messages have later been shown to have come from Leftists masquerading as Conservatives.

But here’s the REALLY scary thing. Let’s say Apple and Google really do ban all apps that allow Conservative thought. Okay…you can always go online and see their websites, right? Uh…no. GoDaddy has de-platformed Wimkin – a site/app that does not censor anything but illegal content. That meant that Wimkin had to scramble to find servers offshore to host their entire business.

Are you friggin’ kidding me? THIS is not America!
Hosting offshore is a solution, but I fear it is a temporary one. There’s nothing stopping your friendly, neighborhood ISP from blocking content from certain IP addresses, which would prohibit you from even visiting their websites.

Now wait…this sounds familiar. Who do I know that does this? Oh, yeah. I remember. The People’s Republic of China. Let that sink in.

Thanks to a government asleep at the switch, the USA has allowed the Big Tech oligarchs from Apple, Google, Twitter, et al, to become more powerful that the President of the United States. They can literally muzzle anyone they like, and at this point, there’s little anyone can do about it.
Now that the Biden/Harris administration is inevitable, what are we going to do? For remember, the Big Tech companies are all fans of the Left. We are looking at a move to a one-party nation, where the opinions, voices and VOTES of those on the rights simply don’t matter. Ever.

I don’t mean to sound all ‘doom and gloom’ here. What can we do about this? Frankly, not much. You can complain, I suppose, to these companies and your ISPs, for all the good it will do. You can study and apply for a Ham radio operator license – it’s the one thing the government hasn’t cracked down on – yet. You can buy ammo (and a gun, if you don’t have one already). You can lay in a supply of non-perishable food, for if those in power are willing to ban Conservative thought, it’s really just a hop, skip and rhetorical jump to regulating things like access to healthcare, food, utilities, et cetera. Does this sound crazy? Hell, yes! But only if your frame of reference is the America in which we all grew up. If you look at places like the formerly free nation of Venezuela, it doesn’t look crazy at all. Remember, as Joe Bob Briggs, the Drive-In Movie Theatre Critic of Grapevine, Texas says, “Without eternal vigilance, it can happen here.”

Don’t wait. It’s all but too late.
