I’m curious…has anybody made the connection yet between the news coming out of France, and Ayn Rand’s masterwork, Atlas Shrugged? While I am always saddened to hear about riots, loss of life, and attacks on police and rescue workers, I’ve got to admit, I’m not surprised. This has been a long time coming, and I hear the sounds of chickens coming home to roost. Allow me to explain…
Long ago, France gave itself over to Socialism. Equality was their God. The majority must be punished on the altar of worshiping the minority. Political Correctness reigned. Now, it seems, a bunch of disenfranchised immigrant youths are rioting. The latest reports indicate that the riots are not spontaneous, but are indeed coordinated, planned protests. Protesting what? The have-nots versus the haves? The minority railing against the majority? Give me strength…
Here’s the simple facts. When you allow anyone and everyone into your country, and force the few who work to support those that don’t, something’s gotta give. I heard a report recently that France has become largely Muslim, to the extent that England now sends most of their Christian missionaries to France. (!) Don’t know if that’s true, but regardless, when you allow so many outsiders inside, the outsiders will quickly gain political influence, then political power. How long before France becomes ruled by a Muslim fundamentalist government? At one time that question would have been purely rhetorical. Not any more.
What Would Ayn Rand Do? (Or say?) Whenever you have a large, vocal group that is willing to subvert capitalism for altruism, and logic and reasoning for dogma, the Law of Unintended Consequences has a way of rearing its ugly head.
Welcome to the punchline to the tragic joke that is Socialism.
